History
IEDS is a privately held and operated third party logistics (3PL) service provider with operations in Spokane, WA and Pasco, WA. IEDS specializes in four market sectors; industrial, forestry, chemical (hazmat), and consumer (grocery) products. In addition, IEDS is served directly as the premier railroad transloader with the BNSF and Union Pacific Railroads for central Washington, Eastern Washington, and Northern Idaho.
Beyond traditional warehouse services, IEDS offers value added services like Vendor Managed Inventory programs, packaging, labeling, loose case picking, kitting, pick and pack, fulfillment, foreign trade zone, US Customs Container Freight Station, cross-dock and transloading, transportation and freight management.
Founded by Bert Ewers in 1983, IEDS has a long history offering public and contract warehousing services in the Pacific Northwest. Today, 25+ years strong, the entity is led by three of Bert’s sons, Dan Ewers, Jim Ewers and Matt Ewers along with a team of professional managers and dedicated associates.
Today, IEDS has the capacity to operate 1,000,000 square feet of heated and non-heated warehouse space and is the premier third party logistics service provider in the Inland Pacific Northwest (USA).
The primary objective of IEDS is to provide a seasoned and reliable warehousing and distribution center for all of its customers. As stewards of others’ products, we maintain our integrity and perform our services in an accountable manner for our customers. IEDS is dedicated to providing distribution center excellence for its customers, while at the same time striving to provide associates with a challenging and rewarding career in the logistics industry.
