IEDS, Inc. has invested in the latest hardware and software to provide the metrics to manage our business most efficiently.  Our business has evolved from merely providing space to providing information about the product inventories and throughput.

Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Software: Abecas Insight by Argos Software

This software provides FIFO or LIFO inventory control, through-put characteristics, computerized internet-enabled access for customers, automatic inventory turns and custom reports to meet the needs of our customers.  The system tracks items by part number, receipt date, lot number, sub-lot number, serial number, description, and location.

We also use the WMS to provide key performance indicators to manage our business and compare our results with industry standards.  These metrics include productivity ratio, space efficiency, loading efficiency for scheduled pickups and will calls, and quantifying mis-shipments and shipping accuracy.

This software integrates accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger codes directly with operations.

 

Freight Management System

Software: Abecas Insight by Argos Software

This software integrates directly with the WMS for scheduled events for pickups and deliveries, freight management, freight billing, dispatch and rating.  Also provides settlements processing for drivers and contractors.

The system uses a common customer data base to prevent having to manage and update this information twice.

Enhancements Based Upon Customer Needs and Requirements:

1.  Our WMS supports RFID technology.

2.  We are be able to add EDI and XML for those clients wanting to link communications networks between each WMS.
